Allison Janney (born Allison Brooks Janney on November 19, 1959 in Dayton, Ohio) is an actress who guest-starred twice on Law & Order.
Janney is best known for playing Claudia Jean "C.J." Cregg on the NBC drama The West Wing (with John Spencer, Bradley Whitford, Joshua Malina, and Mary McCormack) as well as her role as a cynical recovering addict Bonnie Plunkett in the CBS sitcom Mom (with Nathan Corddry and a recurring Kevin Pollak). Her performances on these shows have gained her five consecutive Primetime Emmy Award nominations and won her two Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series.
She has also had roles on such movies as Finding Nemo, Finding Dory, The Way Way Back, 10 Things I Hate About You, Hairspray, Juno (with Jennifer Garner and J.K. Simmons), and The Hours.
