Andrew McCarthy is an actor who guest-starred on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Law & Order, and Law & Order: Criminal Intent. In addition to the episodes he appeared in, he was set to appear in the Criminal Intent episode "Zoonotic", but he and actor Vincent D'Onofrio did not get along on set and he was replaced by James Urbaniak.
McCarthy is probably best known for his roles in 1980s films such as St. Elmo's Fire (with Joyce Van Patten and Mare Winningham), Pretty in Pink (with Annie Potts and Kristy Swanson), and Less Than Zero. He also starred in the Weekend at Bernie's film series (with Jonathan Silverman).
