Arthur Branch is a recurring character on Law & Order. He was also a regular cast member on Law & Order: Trial by Jury. He is the District Attorney of New York County. He was elected in 2001 and replaced Nora Lewin. His politics are generally much more conservative that Lewin's, as he generally supports capital punishment and does not acknowledge a Constitutionally-based right to privacy.
