Billy Webber is a boy suffering from fatal leukemia and unable to find a donor. His father Michael abandoned him with the money needed for his treatment, and since Billy wasn’t Michael’s birth son, he wouldn’t be a donor. Billy’s mother Arlene gave her father Max Schaeffer Michael’s gun to shoot him with and steal the money for the treatment. They didn’t save Billy’s life, and Max was arrested and pleaded guilty.
Billy died with Arlene at his side, and Arlene was arrested afterwards from the prosecution being merciful out of her needing to be with her son. (L&O: “Deadbeat”)
