Carly Holbart is a dead escaped victim of trafficking in slavery. When her father Patrick was in debt from her mother's medical bills, he sent Carly and her brother Micah off to work for wages in hopes they'd have better lives. In reality, Victoria Reyes bought them as a madam, then sold them to enslavers Liam and Julie Ryan.
Carly and Micah were overworked in drudgery, left to starvation and exposure, regularly battered, and regularly pimped out to be raped. Carly gave birth to a son, who was taken away with the other babies the children would sire from being raped. Carly escaped in hopes of finding help for Micah and the remaining victims who were still a live. She saw Micah again in Manhattan and tried to chase him down to take him with her. Fearing more torture, he instead ran, with Carly in hot pursuit. In a struggle, Micah pushed Carly out into the road, where she was hit by a car and killed.
Micah was rescued, as were the remaining victims, and the babies were set to be tracked down. All guilty parties were arrested, and Micah, while mourning his sister, was sentenced to counseling instead of a worse verdict for manslaughter. (SVU: "Merchandise")
