Daniel Hardy was a maintenance man at Trent Towers, the headquarters of Richmore Investments, and the previous prime suspect of the rape and murder of his girlfriend Nancy Pierce in 1987, which was really committed by company founder Richard Morgan to cover up a Ponzi scheme.

History[]

Daniel worked at it some maintenance man for a Richmore Investments. He was romantically involved with Nancy Pierce.

When Nancy was killed Daniel was a prime suspect and without DNA at the time, he had no way to assert his innocence. He was convicted and imprisoned for the next 23 years until Morgan's attorney, Ingrid Block, set Morgan up to be killed and posthumously broke attorney-client privilege be revealing Morgan confessed to her in legal confidence.

Hardy was released and his record expunged, later being a material witness when Block was put on trial for murder facilitation. He testified for her acquittal when Elliot Stabler, her arresting officer, had a change of heart and introduced Hardy to Victor Tate, another wrongfully accused man still serving his sentence, to have him testify in Block's favor.
