Danny Pino is an actor who played Nick Amaro in Law & Order: Special Victims Unit starting from its 13th season until its 16th season. He made a brief return in the 23rd season episode "The Five Hundredth Episode".

Alongside his role on SVU, he is also known for his role as Scotty Valens on the CBS series Cold Case (with Tracie Thoms). The Valens character also appeared in a crossover with the show CSI: New York (with Anna Belknap and Eddie Cahill). After SVU, he starred in CBS' BrainDead in 2016 (which also featured Aaron Tveit, Nikki M. James, Jan Maxwell, and Zach Grenier), the show Gone (again with Thoms, Chris Noth, and Leven Rambin), and on the FX drama Mayans M.C. (with Clayton Cardenas, Richard Cabral, and Michael Irby). He is also known for his role as Mexican drug lord and serial rapist Armadillo Quintero on the FX Network's The Shield. He has starred in movies such as Flicka, The Lost City, The Burning Plain, Across the Hall, and Dear Evan Hansen (with Colton Ryan).

He graduated from Miami Coral Park High School in 1992 and from Florida International University in 1996. Pino and his wife Lilly married in 2002 and have two sons: Luca Daniel (born February 15, 2006) and Julian Franco (born June 5, 2007).
