Dawn Trent is the friend of battered ex-housewife Kim Hoffman, who knew about the abuse her ex-husband Dan put her through, even in front of their son Tommy. Dawn worked with a women's shelter and helped Kim discreetly escape the house and go into hiding for years.
Dawn was tracked by detectives and revealed the operation, as well as divulged Kim's location when Dan's second wife Jill was raped and beaten to death by him. (SVU: "Desperate")
