She was married to Jason Connor. She and Jason has a son by the name of Aidan Connor. Debra eventually learns that Jason had a long time relationship with Susan Coyle and had two children (Shannon and Brian Coyle) by her. She eventually confronted him and he admitted everything to her. In a fit of rage, she murdered him in his car.
She is currently serving time for her husband's murder. (SVU: "Families")
