April Lee Hernandez-Castillo (born 31 January 1980; age 44), birth name April Lee Hernandez, is an actress from the Bronx, New York who guest-starred on Law & Order and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.
Aside from performing stand-up comedy, she has also appeared in several commercials, as well as on the television series ER, 30 Rock, and Nurse Jackie. In June 2010, she was cast for the American cult series Dexter. She appeared in the television series Person of Interest (with Michael Emerson, Carrie Preston and James Carpinello) episode "Legacy", which aired on January 18, 2012, in which she played an attorney Andrea Gutierrez, who had turned her life around after a checkered childhood.
Recently, she appeared in Prodigal Son (with Bellamy Young) as Marshal Emily Ruiz in 3 Episodes.
Hernandez is married to Jose Castillo. The couple have a daughter, Summer Rose, who was born on September 30, 2012.
