Gloria Stanfield was an actress and the stepmother of Kyle Fuller.
Background[]
Gloria married wealthy businessman Lawrence Fuller and they had a daughter Chloe together. She initially did not get along with her stepson Kyle but manipulated into him having sex with her. One of the encounters was witnessed by his half-sister who fell behind in school.
History[]
After Special Victims Unit was notified by Chloe of the relationship between Gloria and Kyle, they informed Lawrence of this. As a result, Lawrence confronted Gloria while condemning her for sleeping with his son, but she denied the events and stated he was angry and that she was going to divorce him, adding false accusations that Lawrence beat the children. Because of the tumultuous status in the house, both Kyle and Chloe were removed from the custody of their parents. However, this worked in the favor of Gloria who tried to get Kyle to murder his father, but he refused to do it, so she had him leave the house and ended up hiring her boyfriend Frank Barbarossa, who had gotten her pregnant with a son, to murder Lawrence.
To prevent herself from being arrested, she married Kyle, so he would not testify against her and misleading Kyle into thinking her unborn child was his, when really it was Frank Barbarossa's baby. Gloria then inseminated herself with some of Barbarossa's frozen sperm she retained, falsely reporting he "raped" her. Barbarossa was forced to reveal his role as the murderer and agreed to testify against Gloria. It was also speculated by the detectives that she planned to have Kyle killed after he cashes in his trust fund to have all the money to herself. After realizing that he wasn't the father and what Gloria had done, especially to his father, Kyle filed for immediate divorce.
Unaware of her status, she was confronted by the detectives after she went to the clinic to terminate her pregnancy. Gloria was told by Detectives Stabler and Benson that she was not going to get away with this. She ignored them and noticed Kyle stepping out to confront her while informing him that the baby is not best for the both of them. After getting a confirmation of her vile actions, Kyle presented her with the divorce papers and bitterly and angrily called her "Mom". Realizing that her plans have fallen through, Gloria tried to plead to Kyle, who ignored her. She was arrested for murder facilitation in the death of her late husband immediately after she terminated her pregnancy.
Gloria was tried and convicted of murder in the first degree and conspiracy to commit murder in the first degree and was executed. Her daughter Chloe currently resides with Kyle and relatives.
