Gloria Palmera was a waitress and the girlfriend of paroled rapist Thomas Marshack who was murdered. While initially not ruled a suspect she later attempted suicide but was saved by Benson and Stabler. In the hospital she confesses to the murder but is ultimately revealed to be protecting her friend Louise Durning after the later found out Marshack knowingly infected Gloria with HIV.
