Quotes[]
- Barba: Paid or not paid, consent means "no." Consent can be revoked at any time.
- Benson: Your sister Kim made parole and now she wants to live with you?
- Rollins: I know it sounds crazy. I should probably say no.
Background Information and Notes[]
- The episode title refers to both the diagnosis of bipolar disorder and rape-induced trauma.
- Kim Rollins has made parole.
- Another episode in the Law & Order franchise that deals with an athlete's mental health is the Law & Order episode "Fault Lines".
- When Barba asks to recall the victim to testify again, the judge adjourns the trial for the day and says the witness will testify "first thing tomorrow," yet it is Friday when she says this. New York courts don't operate on Saturdays, so she should have said "first thing Monday" or "first thing next week."
- Taking high doses of lithium would not cause any euphoria (AKA being high), in fact it causes quite the opposite. Large doses of lithium will cause the user to feel extremely sick, symptoms would include nausea, vomiting, muscle weakness, diarrhea and seizures. If the dose is large enough it will also cause severe neurological and renal damage and even death.
