- This episode is the first to show the new main cast credits for this season. Stephanie March and Ice-T are now credited as main cast members. Because of the large cast the opening theme breaks with a Law & Order tradition. The cast is no longer walking towards the viewer, but they are all shown posing around a desk.
- This is actor Tom O'Rourke's first appearance as recurring character Judge Mark Seligman. O'Rourke previously appeared in the Law & Order: Special Victims Unit first season episode "Sophomore Jinx" as Anthony Schlasser, and as recurring character Defense Attorney Peter Behrens on several episodes from Law & Order.
