James Wilson is the bodyguard of hip-hop musician Darryl "G-Trane" Collins and a suspect in the murder of artist wannabe and drug dealer Jerome "Bone" Cabey. He fled with Collins and Collins' girlfriend Allie Lawrence after Cabey was shot at the Mega-Fly nightclub. Suspicion was placed on Wilson, and he was arrested on an illegal gun possession charge to test his weapon for the firearm, which didn't match.
It is revealed Wilson and Collins were covering for Allie, the real shooter of Cabey, as Casey groped her and misogynistically insulted her. Lawrence and Collins were released when a case couldn’t be made against them, and Wilson’s status was left unknown. (L&O: "3 Dawg Night")
