Jamey Sheridan is an actor known for playing Captain James Deakins in the first five seasons from Law & Order: Criminal Intent. He also gave voice to his character in the game "Law & Order: Criminal Intent".

Late in the fourth season, Sheridan began wearing an eye patch as he began showing the symptoms of Bell's palsy. This was written into the show, however Deakins was written out of the series at the end of the fifth season, at Sheridan's request. His character was replaced by Captain Daniel Ross, played by Eric Bogosian.
