Julianne Nicholson is an actress who is known for her portrayal of Detective Megan Wheeler on Law & Order: Criminal Intent.

Nicholson's pregnancy required her to leave the show temporarily for maternity leave during the show's first half of the seventh season. She was replaced by actress Alicia Witt (Detective Nola Falacci). She and her husband Jonathan Cake welcomed their first child, a son named Ignatius, in September 2007.

Before her time on Criminal Intent, Nicholson appeared in the Law & Order season eleven episode "All My Children" as Jessie Lucas.

Nicholson played ADA Christina Finn on Conviction.

She will create the role of "Jane" onstage in the World Premiere of Melissa James Gibson's play This at Playwrights Horizons from November 6-December 13, 2009.
