Dr. Katrina Pynchon was a Psychiatrist and soldier who was found responsible for a murder.
She served in the United States Army and was stationed at Fort Bragg where she was a part of the SERE program, training soldiers in how to resist torture and interrogation. After her service in this program, she moved to the Reserves until 2003, when she was called back to duty. Her service during this period after the September 11, 2001 attacks, however, was classified. Detective Robert Goren theorized that this was because she worked at the prison at Guantanamo Bay in Cuba where she did the opposite work- training people how to engage in harsh interrogation techniques. This caused her conflict with her medical ethics as a doctor.
