Kevin Paxton (nee Mickler) is a juvenile ex-con with a distance from his foster family and a drug problem he recovered from successfully when he joined the church of Dan Wyler. Paxton also was having a statutory affair with Dan's wife Alison, Paxton's speech therapist.
Alison solicited Paxton to kill Ryan Conlon and restrain and frame his wife Carrie, who was having an affair with Dan. Paxton stole jewelry and coins to make the attack look like a robbery, and Alison assisted by leaving phone calls to Ryan and Dan in Carrie's voice to incriminate her further.
Kevin was questioned due to his motorcycle boots leaving prints at the scene and the bruises all over his body. He's released without stronger evidence against him and he returns to Alison. She rejects him as a liability and says he should go find another church to protect herself. This results in Kevin killing himself with a cocktail of methadone and booze, which Alison was aware Kevin would devolve in. She was found out and eventually arrested, with Dan divorcing her in disgrace. (CI: "Faithfully")
