Lois Huntington is the mother of Jamie Huntington-McKenna, the widow of her late husband, Ambassador Avery Huntington, the grandmother of Emily and Michael, the step-grandmother of Justin, the mother-in-law of Randall McKenna, and head of the Avery Huntington Foundation.

History[]

Lois sent Jamie to boarding school when she was eleven years old, thinking she had a discipline problem. Her late husband indulged Jamie and was "Daddy's Little Girl" and when he died, Jamie indulged herself with prescription drugs and diet pills, according to her mother. According to Jamie, she used a hairbrush to "discipline" Jamie when she was younger.

When interrogating Jamie to get her to confess to abusing Emily, Munch tells her that he has a friend in Children's Service who remembers her; her superiors suspected Avery had molested her, but were nervous about investigating such a powerful, influential man. When Munch asked about how her mother handled the investigation, Jamie said that Lois "was jealous because daddy couldn't stand to touch her", and sent her to boarding school. Jamie begged her not to send her away, but "what mother wants, mother gets".
