Lucy Neven is a soap opera actress who was stalked by an obsessed fan, Jesse Unger. Unger personally confronted Lucy while she walked her dog and pleaded for her to be with him, only for Unger to bludgeon and strangle her into a coma. When she awoke, she was at risk of permanent paralysis and her acting career was arguably over.
Lucy personally agreed to testify, even after Unger sent her a questionable apology letter. In the end, Unger was found guilty of attempted murder and imprisoned. (L&O: “Star Struck”)
