Maggie Conner was a 17-year-old girl and a suspect in the murder of her mother Laura Madsen, who was actually killed by her stepfather and lover Steve Martell.
History
Maggie had a difficult relationship with her mother, as Laura was very controlling and stifling. She was having a consensual affair with her stepfather until her mother discovered it. Maggie witnessed Martell accidentally killing Laura during an argument when she confronted him about the affair and threatened to leave him. Martell then manipulated Maggie into helping him cover up the murder and move Laura's body by claiming the cops would pin her mother's death on both of them and promising to marry her.
