Marcia Gay Harden is an Academy Award-winning actress who played the role of FBI Agent Dana Lewis in four episodes of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. She appeared in the Season 7 episode "Raw", the first episode of Season 8 "Informed", the Season 12 episode "Penetration", and the Season 14 episode "Secrets Exhumed".

Harden won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for portraying Lee Krasner in the film Pollock (2000). For this role she was also nominated at the Independent Spirit Awards and won at the New York Film Critics Circle Awards.

In 2003 she received an Academy Award nomination in the same category for her portrayal of Celeste Boyle in Mystic River (with Laura Linney).

Among her other acting credits are films such as Miller's Crossing (1990), The First Wives Club (1996, with Philip Bosco, Dan Hedaya, Victor Garber, Elizabeth Berkley, Bronson Pinchot, Jennifer Dundas, James Naughton), Desperate Measures (1998, with Joseph Cross), Meet Joe Black (1998, with Jake Weber, Jeffrey Tambor, and David S. Howard), Space Cowboys (2000, with Courtney B. Vance and Loren Dean) and The Mist.

Harden has guest starred in Homicide: Life on the Street as Joan Garbarek in the episode "A Doll's Eyes" (1995).

She also appeared as Grace Trevelyan Grey in Fifty Shades of Grey (2015), Fifty Shades Darker (2017) and Fifty Shades Freed (2018) with Eloise Mumford and Victor Rasuk. Harden became a regular series in CBS medical drama series Code Black from 2015 to 2018 (with Luis Guzmán and Melanie Chandra). She stars on the show So Help Me Todd (with Rosa Arredondo).
