Marcia Gay Harden is an Academy Award-winning actress who played the role of FBI Agent Dana Lewis (alias: Star Morrison) in two episodes from Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. She appeared in the season 7 episode "Raw", and in the first episode of season 8, "Informed". In 2007 she was nominated for an Emmy Award, in the category of Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series, for her role as Dana Lewis/ Star Morrison.
Harden won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for portraying Lee Krasner in the film Pollock (2000). For this role she was also nominated at the Independent Spirit Awards and won at the New York Film Critics Circle Awards.
In 2003 she received an Academy Award nomination in the same category for her portrayal of Celeste Boyle in Mystic River.
Among her other acting credits are films such as Miller's Crossing (1990), The First Wives Club (1996, with Philip Bosco, Dan Hedaya, Victor Garber, Elizabeth Berkley, Bronson Pinchot, Jennifer Dundas, James Naughton), Desperate Measures (1998, with Joseph Cross), Meet Joe Black (1998, with Jake Weber, Jeffrey Tambor, and David S. Harden has guest starred in Homicide: Life on the Street as Joan Garbarek in the episode "A Doll's Eyes" (1995).
