Michaela McManus joined the cast of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit as the Assistant District Attorney Kim Greylek, beginning with its tenth season premiere. However, she only lasted fourteen episodes before departing the series permanently in the fifteenth episode.
McManus is also known for her portrayal of Lindsay Strauss on the TV series One Tree Hill (opposite Sophia Bush). Alongside that, she starred on the TV series Aquarius as Grace Karn (with Chance Kelly) and starred as a main cast member on the TV series The Village as Sarah Campbell (with Lorraine Toussaint).
McManus is the youngest main cast member to star on Law & Order: SVU at the time of her age, joining the cast at only 25 years old. She is also the fourth youngest main cast member in the series, the third being Jamie Gray Hyder, the second being Octavio Pisano and the first being Molly Burnett. McManus stated in an interview the reason she left the series halfway through the tenth season was because she thought the role to be too complicated.
