Summary[]

- Marlee Matlin comes back to SVU after a year. Her character, Dr. Amy Solwey was found guilty of aiding suicide in the episode, "Painless."
- This is the first episode not to feature Benson.
- Other episodes in the Law & Order franchise that deal with organ donation are the SVU episode "Dare", the Law & Order episode "Sonata for Solo Organ" and its Law & Order: UK adaptation "Sacrifice", and the Law & Order: Criminal Intent episode "Ex Stasis".
- In both this episode and "Dare", a member of SVU has a dilemma involving a sick child receiving an illegally obtained organ, with Stabler wrestling with giving a child a kidney in this episode.
