- This is one of the few episodes that features Detective John Munch as the lead detective.
- Actor Daniel Sunjata appears for the first time in an episode from Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. In this episode he plays a Bomb Squad Officer, but starting with the third season episode "Prodigy" he would appear as recurring character CSU Technician Burt Trevor.
