History
Rita ran an adoption agency alongside her husband Bud. Both were mentally and physically abusive towards the children they took care of. She was charged with the murder of a girl named Rosemary, along with child abuse. After one of the children, whom Beck was taking care of, tried to kill her, proving the accusations of the children being deranged true, she and her husband were found guilty of criminally negligent homicide. They were sentenced to a maximum of two years in prison. (SVU: "Cage")
