Roberto Distasio was an Italian diplomat who orally raped Miriam Deng in a hotel. His case caused a lot of controversy with the media and several people, which increased when Deng confided to a coworker that she wished to make Distasio pay by taking millions of dollars from him.
Eventually, after a lengthy trial which was the subject of media attention, Distasio was found not guilty of raping Deng, but was found guilty of unlawful imprisonment. (SVU: "Scorched Earth")
