Sally Wilkens is the disillusioned mother of Mitch Wilkens, previously named Eric Wayne Proctor but needing to change it after torturing, molesting, and burning alive 3-year-old Tommy Leggatt. Sally originally stuck by Mitch for years, leading to her husband leaving her and being harassed and attacked on the street.
Mitch was released when turning of age, but this time raped Chloe Dutton, arranged her gang-rape, and then kidnapped and killed her while setting up another one of the rapists. Sally was Mitch's "alibi" and still pitied him, especially when she was given Dutton's bracelet by Mitch without knowing. She was told to lie by Mitch and narrowly missed an abetting charge from such actions.
When confronted and realizing the truth, she testified to the truth and pleaded to the court to sentence Mitch so he can't get out. This secured Wilkins' verdict and sentence, Sally finally devastated from never having a son she wanted and cared about. (SVU: "Soulless")
