Stefan Anders is a German national and former member of the Waffen SS.

History[]

Anders served on the Eastern Front of World War II. After Germany's disastrous defeat at Stalingrad, the SS transferred Anders to the Bobrek Concentration camp in Poland as a prison guard. One day, he shot and killed six prisoners, one of them because she couldn't get up after falling and another five for crying at the horror. The fifth one was Leah Glaser's sister, who was murdered in full view of her and the other prisoners.

After the War, he moved to the United States and began to reside in New York City, where he had a son named Tomas. After the Soviet Union fell, the Russians turned over evidence to OSI, including his SS file, which implicated Anders as not only an illegal immigrant, but as a war criminal and a mass murderer. They reached out to Glaser who recognized his old photo from the file and remembered who he was and told the Office of Special Investigations what he did. They pursued deportation proceedings against him but were held up until Glaser's testimony. Upon this discovery, he and a young benefactor and Neo-Nazi, Kyle Mellors, murdered Glaser to prevent her from testifying against him.

During the trial, Anders told the jury that he wasn't the guard who killed the six prisoners, and that he didn't kill her. He said that she mistook him for someone else, and that he tried to tell her that one day. But McCoy impeached him with Glaser's Shoah testimony; the emotional video showed her telling her story about her experience at Bobrek, how Stefan was like back then, and exactly what happened that day when she lost her sister. In the end, Anders and Mellors were both found guilty and executed. (L&O: "Evil Breeds")
