Career length

In Wrath, Benson mentions that she worked a rape case in 1993! How long has she been on the job? --24.96.149.124 02:29, September 15, 2009 (UTC)

Ignoring the law

There should be an article cataloguing the rule breaking and lawlessness Her and Stabler do.

Birth year

  • The front page under "Article of the Week" says she was born in 1970 of a 1967 rape.
  • This article says she was born in 1968 of a 1967 rape.
  • The timeline says she was born in 1967.

Which of the above is correct (and what source do we have) ? —MJBurrage(TC) 16:59, October 13, 2010 (UTC)

Not a Sgt. yet

She passed the test to become a Sgt. but in that same episode Captain Cragean stated that she was in-line to become Sgt. she has to wait until a Sgt slot opens up (with Munch gone she might be an "Acting" Sgt.) Chasemarc (talk) 01:14, January 11, 2014 (UTC)

Bias?

"While a dedicated officer, Benson is more likely to go to bat for women she deals with during cases than men, and has shown skepticism during cases where women are the offenders and men are the victim, or allows her sympathy of the victim to cloud her judgement and make her commit actions without thinking. Such as in 'Justice Denied' where she interrogated a man until he confessed to a crime which he was later found to be innocent of and sending him to prison for life, which could have been avoided if she was thinking clearly enough to check on the evidence."

Is this just some editor's opinion, or has this been dealt with in the canon of the series? --IDDIfan (talk) 21:01, November 11, 2014 (UTC)

Olivia's birthday?

Re: Olivia's birth year

If someone could kindly stop undoing my edits, I'd appreciate it. Olivia's birth year was not stated in any single episode, and it was never stated that Serena was raped in 1967, 1968, or any other year someone would like to put to make Olivia seem younger than she is. I vote to leave the section alone and leave the edit in place until someone can present definitive proof (ie, a transcript and episode name) that the show stated when Serena was raped.
