Background information and notes[]
- This episode featured the last appearances of A.D.A. Ronald Carver, Detective Barek, and Captain Deakins. While Deakins's departure was evident to viewers of this episode, Carver and Barek weren't given an onscreen send-off.
- Barek would be replaced in Season 6 by Detective Megan Wheeler. Carver was not officially replaced; his role would be taken up by a number of A.D.A.s in future seasons. Carver is the second-longest serving A.D.A. in the Law & Order franchise.
- Barek later returns in the Law & Order: Special Victims Unit episode "Hunt, Trap, Rape, and Release".
- Deakins mentions he assigned Logan a new desk before he leaves, a callback to the season premiere "Grow", when he assigned Logan a small, woobly desk on his day with Major Case Squad.
