Plot[]
Capt. Ross, Goren and Eames have their Thanksgiving plans interrupted when the deputy commissioner's daughter, a U.S. soldier home from Iraq, goes missing. At the same time, Goren has difficulty coping with the failing health of his needy mother.

- This episode has the first appearance of several family members of the cast at various Thanksgiving events before they called away to try to find Amanda:
- Ross is shown with his two sons (who were mentioned before) along with his ex-wife, her boyfriend Todd, and presumably his parents.
- Eames is in a yard with kids running around her. Though there is no dialogue, it is likely her nieces and nephews, including the one she gave birth to via surrogacy.
- Goren is with his mother, Frances Goren, who we see in person for the first time.
- Eames first mentions her dead husband, Joe, that he bought her a taser for their anniversary once, and that he died eight years before.
