The Thorpe Palace Hotel was a lodging establishment which opened in 2000. It was owned and operated by Alan Thorpe.
It was billed as New York City's first five star family-friendly hotel. The grand opening featured a large party with numerous guests, along with live music and family entertainment.
The celebration was briefly interrupted with the appearance of Siobhan Miller, alleging that she had been raped in one the rooms of the hotel. It was later determined that the entire incident had been staged in an attempt to extort money from Thorpe. (SVU:"Taken")
