Vanessa Mayer is a New York City-based Legal Aid Defense attorney. Her most notable client was serial rapist William Lewis.
History[]
She represented William Lewis during his first trial, and they eventually began a romantic relationship. In the course of her being his lawyer, she posted his bail. As well as this, she defended his actions and was adamant that the Special Victims Unit had a vendetta against him after he told her this.
When Benson was kidnapped by Lewis, she was questioned by Rollins and Cragen about the possible whereabouts of Lewis, to which she said she was with him a few hours ago and they had dinner with her parents. She ceased representing him after he killed her father and raped and tortured her mother.
