Zachary Marshall was a mass murderer who caused a minivan to crash on the highway, killing seven people. He was motivated by greed, trying to cause Brenda Sawyer to have a DUI in order to discredit her from getting money from a whistleblowing that they were performing together on their company because Brenda wanted to give all of the reward money away. However, the combination of the alcohol and Brenda's spiked nasal spray caused a fatal car accident that killed seven people which Zach, after realizing that Brenda had kids in the car, desperately tried to prevent by calling Brenda and then 911. After Cutter and Rubirosa track Zach's delivery of propofal to a PO box he'd rented under an alias, a remorseful Zach confesses and accepts a deal for seven counts of depraved indifference murder with a sentence of 20 years to life in prison subject to the approval of the victims families. Zach also turns over the evidence that he was going to give to the FDA and the victims families agree to Zach's sentence.
